- T spend a few minutes revising the previous lesson by calling some individuals to come to the front to greet the class and say their names. Get the class to sing The wheels on the bus.

- T tell the class they are going to practise - asking and answering questions about what a village/ town/ city is like.
- T do choral and individual repetition, pointing to the characters speaking.
- T play the recording for pupils to listen and say along.
- Call some students read the dialogue in front of the class.
2.2. Point and say.
- Teacher tell pupils that they are going to practise asking and answering questions about what a village/ town/ city is like.
 using What’s the..like? It’s... 
- T draw pupils’ attention to the pictures. Point to each character and elicit his/ her name.

- T point to the first picture and elicit the words to fill the gaps. Put the sentences on the board.

- T tell the class that they are going to practise further by asking and answering questions about where they live, using greetings. Draw pupils’ attention to the pictures and elicit the language that the characters might use. Elictit the words to fill the gaps. Put the sentences on the board and do choral and individual repetition.
- T get pupils to work in pairs. Go around to offer help, if necessary.
- T call a few pairs to act out the dialogue in front of the class.

- T tell the class that they are going to listen and circle the correct a or b to complete the sentences. Elicit the names of the characters. Have pupils repeat them once or twice.
- T play the recoding three times for pupils to listen, do the task and check their answers. 
- Tell pupils not to worry if they cannot understand every word and that they should focus on the names of the characters while they are listening.
- T Get pupils to swap and check their answers before checking as a class.-

Lesson 3 ( 1-2-3)
I. Objectives. 
By the end of the lesson, Pupils will be able to:
- Pronuonce two-syllabe words with the stress on the first syllyable: ’city, ’village, ’mountains, ’tower. 
- Improve listening, speaking skills.
II. Language focus.	
- Tell pupils to write about one of their friends.
- Write small letters for other words in the sentence.
III. Resources.

2.1.Listen and repeat.
- Tell the class that they are going to practice saying words ‘city, ‘village, ’mounains and ‘tower.
- First, explain to pupils what word stress is, in Vietnamese, if necessary.(word stress is the emphasis that you put on a syllable by saying it more loudly). Tell them that we use the stress mark(‘) to indicate word stress.
- Write ‘city, ‘village, ’mounains and ‘tower.
- Play the recording and ask pupils to repeat them, paying attention to the target words and stress. 
- Get some pupils to say the sentences, while the rest of the class claps at the stressed syllables of the target words. Correct the pronunciation, if necessary.
2.2 Listen and circle a or b. Then say the sentences.
 - Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording, circle the correct options and write to answer to complete the sentences.
- Give them a few seconds to read each of the sentences in silence and guess the words to fill the gaps.
- Have pupils listen to the recording and circle the appropriate options. Play the recording more than once, if necessary.
- Give them time to write the words independently. Have them swap their answers before checking as a class. Go around and offer help, if necessary.
- Then ask pupils to say the sentences aloud.

2.3- Let’s chant.
- T tell pupils they are going to say the chant Where do you live?. Read the chant and check comprehension. Follow the procedure in Teaching the unit components in the Introduction.
- T play the recording a few times for pupils to do choral and individual repetition. Show pupils how to chant and to actions. Call two groups four to give a demonstration.
- T get groups of pupils to sit face and practise chanting and doing the actions. Go around to offer help, if necessary.
- T call two groups to the front to the class to chant.

- Improve listening, speaking, reading, writing skills.

- Tell pupils to write about one of their friends.

- T tell pupils that they are going to do a drawing project. Check understanding. Get pupils to prepare necessary school things to carry out the project ( paper, pens, coloured pencils, scissors, glue..)
- T give pupils time to do the project in class. Get pupils to work in groups. Go around to offer help. If there is not enough time, ask pupils to finish the project as homework.
2.7. Colour the stars.
-Have the class read the statements and check their comprehension.
- T give pupils time to colour the stars and a few Ss to read the statements aloud.
- T give further support to Ss who find it difficult to achieve certain objectives.

- Tell them that they are going to look at the dialogue in their Student’s book, listen to the recording and repeat the dialogue between Quan and Tom.
- T plays the recording all the way through for pupils to listen.
- T plays the recording again, pausing after each line for pupils to repeat. T repeats the step when necessary.
- T divides the class into two groups.
- T asks one group to repeat Quan’s part and the other Tom’s part.
- T checks to make sure pupils can repeat and understand the dialogue.

- Listen and number the right picture.
- Write about their daily routines by answering some questions.
- Play Crossword puzzle game.
II. Language contents

6. Let`s play
- Tell the class that they are going to play game: Crossword puzzle.
- Remind them how to do it: they should look at each picture and complete the corresponding
- Get them to look at the crossword puzzle and the pictures. Start with Picture 1 and ask them to think of a verb that describes it. Then ask them to check whether the spelling fits the letters/boxes in the puzzle. Repeat the procedure for the rest of the pictures. The first pupil who completes the puzzle correctly is the winner.
- Ask Ss to work independently. Monitor the activity.
- Meanwhile, copy the crossword puzzle on the board and invite one or two Ss to complete it. Ask them to read out the words for the class to repeat.
- Ask the class to compare their answers to those on the board.
- Have the class make sentences with the words and phrases from the puzzle
