I. Warm up
 (5’)
Greetings
Playing a game: “ Kim’s game”.
Present 8 pictures in sequence and ask students to look at the pictures only in 30 seconds and remember. 
a picture of a family / a living room / a sofa/ an apartment / grandparents/ a bed / a kitchen/ a wardrobe.
-Ask students to write names of the pictures in groups in 1minute.
-Check the answer and introduce the title of the lesson “ My home”

-Listen carefully.
-Playing a game in 2 groups
II. Pre- reading
( 10’)
1.Vocabulary
- apartment (n): (situation)
- kennel (n): (situation)
- wardrobe (n): (picture)
- bowl (n): (situation)
- Read the words with correct stress.
- Ask some students to read the words individually.
2.Set the context
- Present the pictures of Mi and Nick: This is Mi, and this is Nick. Now look at the pictures and guess the answers:
 + What are they doing?
 + How are they chatting?
 + What are they talking about?
3.Open- Predictions
- Ask students to guess: Which family members does Mi talk about?

-Ask students to give the prediction answers.
-Listen to the teacher, guess the meaning of the words.
-Listen and repeat twice.
-Read the words individually.
- Look at the pictures, listen to the teacher and guess the answers:

While-reading
(20’)
1. Check open-predictions 
-Play the tape twice.
-Confirm the correct answers. (1.a)

2. Practice reading the conversation
- Ask students to practice reading the conversation in pairs in front of the class.
- Ask students to read the conversation again (silently) and complete the sentences. (1.b)
-Ask students to share the answers with a partner before showing their answers in front of the class.
-Check and confirm the correct answers:

3. Present prepositions of place
- Ask students to find the prepositions of place from the conversation.
-Write them on the board: behind, in , on, near, next to
-Introduce: Beside the prepositions of place we have from the conversation, there are some more prepositions of place such as: between, under, in front of.
-Give examples to explain the meaning of each preposition above. ( between/ under/ in front of)
4. Match the prepositions with the pictures. 
-Ask students to work in pairs and match.
-Ask for students’ answers.
-Check and confirm the correct answers.

5. Write the sentences to describe the pictures.
- Ask students to look at the picture A/ part 2 and present the example sentence: 
 The dog is on the chair.
-Ask students to work individually, write the sentences for the pictures in Part 2, like the model example.
-Ask them to share the sentences with a friend.
- Call on some students to write their answers on the board. 
- Check the sentences with the whole class.

6. True – false statements.
 -Ask students to look at the picture of the room and do this exercise in pairs. 
-Ask students to give the answers.
- Confirm the correct answers.

- Ask students to describe the picture in part 4 in groups.

- Divide the class into 4 groups.
- Present some pictures of furniture on the screen.
- Give each group some furniture above (picture cards) and ask them to design a room in a house/ in an apartment.
- Ask them to describe the room after designing.
-Receive the picture cards and design a room.
-Describe the room that they’ve designed.
V. Homework (1’)
 - Write a description of your own rooms.
Learn by heart vocabulary.
Do Ex 5 / 17 ( textbook)
Prepare “A Closer Look 1”.
-Write the assignments
