Content
- T. asks Ss to look at the picture (page 10) and give their ideas
- T. has Ss tell some common greetings in Vietnamese.
- T. introduces the ways to greet people when they meet together.
Ss listen and repeat after teacher.
- T. has Ss take notes about the intonation and the difference in use.
- T. calls Ss to tell what people often introduce in the first time they meet.
Ss answer in Vietnamese.
- T. gives her idea and reads sentences (p.11)
Ss repeat after her
- T. calls Ss to give two ways to introduce own name.
- T. asks Ss to repeat the patterns after her.
- T. asks Ss to practice saying greetings and introducing their names to one another.
Ss work in pairs / groups in silence within 2 minutes.
- Then T. calls them to practice in front of class aloud.
- After that T. has Ss write the sentences on the board.
- T. gives her idea and marks.
- T. asks Ss to do exercises A1,2 (page 4 - 5)
Ss read the sentences aloud and then write them on the board.
- T. corrects their mistakes in pronunciation and grammar.
- T. asks Ss to complete the sentences.
Ss read these ones aloud.
- T. corrects their mistakes.
1. Warm up:
In the new school year, Ss meet and greet each other.
