I. Aim: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- introduce someone to one another
- ask and answer about the age
II. Language contents:
1. Grammar: - This is Lan

2. Vocabulary: review cardinal numbers (1 - 20)

V. Procedure:
Teacher’s and Students’ activities
Content
- T. has Ss play a game “Slap the board”
Ss work in 2 groups.
- T. gives her idea.
- T. has Ss introduce their own names. Then T. gives the way to introduce another person’s name.
- T. explains new words and the patterns by giving examples.
Ss listen carefully.
- T. guides Ss to read the patterns (choral, individual)
- T. asks 2 or 3 students about their age.
Ss answer, then Ss ask the teacher’s age.
- T. has Ss look at the 1st and 2nd pictures and introduces the situation of the dialogues.
Ss may answer some teacher’s questions to understand the content of the dialogues more clearly.
- T. has Ss listen to the tape twice and repeat the dialogues after the tape.
- T. has Ss practice the dialogues (silently, aloud) in 3 minutes.
Ss work in groups of 3 students and play the roles.
- T. corrects their mistakes in grammar and pronunciation.
- After that, T. has Ss practice making open dialogues with groups of 3 students.
Ss work in groups in 3 minutes, using their own names.
- T. gives her idea.
- Then T. has Ss practice asking and answering the pattern they’ve just learnt.
Ss practice in pairs (silently, aloud)
- T. corrects their mistakes.
- Next, T. has Ss play a game “Bingo”, and T. guides Ss to play this game.
- T. reads some cardinal numbers in English.
Ss listen and make crosses (if they have them)
- T. gives her idea after finishing the game.
- T. has Ss do exercises C2, 4 in workbooks.
Ss make sentences from the pictures by reading them aloud and then write some on the board.
- T. corrects their mistakes.
- T. calls Ss to complete the dialogue in groups of 3 students silently in a few minutes, then practice aloud.
- T. corrects Ss’ mistakes.
