PERIOD 84: LESSON A:THE WEATHER AND THE SEASONS
(A3, 4 / P. 135, 136)
Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able :
To talk about their favorite weather
To develop listening, speaking and reading skills
To discuss about the season that Ss love and activities that
 they like doing in that reason.
To describe the weather in the season they like and activities in that season.
To know how to protect their bodies in different seasons.
To compare “what is the weather like?” with “what’s the weather like?”
Language contents:
Vocabulary: Hot weather, cold weather, cool weather, warm weather
Grammar: 
 1. What weather + do/does + S +like ?
 S+ like/likes + adj + weather.
 2. What + do/does + S+ do + when + It’s +adj ( chỉ thời tiết)
 When + It’s +adj (chỉ thời tiết), S + V (s,es).
Skills: Listening – Speaking – Writing – Reading
Techniques: pair work, group work
Teaching aids: Projector, tape, laptop and text- book

* Warm up: (5 minutes)
T asks Ss to listen to the song and fill in blanks.

A3 – Listen and repeat. Then ask and answer the question (10 minutes)
Pre – listening:
- T introduces some vocabulary. Ss give the meanings of vocabulary.
- T asks Ss to indicate the position of the adjective and the noun.
- T reads vocabulary and Ss repeat
- T invites 2 or 3 Ss read vocabulary again.
- Ss copy down the vocabulary in notebook
While – listening:
T plays the tape twice 
- Ss listen and repeat
- T gives some questions to introduce new structures
- T asks Ss to find out new structures
- T gives Ss model sentences, form and uses.
Post – listening:
- T asks Ss to work in pairs to ask and answer about the characters in A3 with the question below:
 What weather do they like
 does he/she like
- T asks Ss to ask and answer about themselves
A4 – Read(25’)
Pre – listening:
- T asks Ss to look at the pictures and answer question: what does Ba do?
- T reads the reading in page 136 twice and asks Ss to listen.
- T calls some Ss to read the text
While – listening:
- T asks Ss to find out new structures
- T asks Ss to ask and answer about Ba
c) Post – listening:
* Practices
­ HOMEWORK:
Learn by heart the new words, the sentences and structures.
Practice reading at home.
Prepare for the next period: Unit 13 – B1,2
- Ask and answer with “what weather do you like?” and “what do you do when it’s?”
( warm, summer, hot, swimming, autumn, cool, hiking, winter, cold )

Use: Hỏi và trả lời về những việc ai đó thường làm vào những thời tiết khác nhau.
