B. PROCEDURE
1. Greeting & checking absence
- Greeting in English.
- Checking attendance
 2. New lesson:
CHECKING-UP
	Fill in the best preposition in the blank
1. The rice was separated ...from...the husk
2. The principle is awarding the 1st price ...to...the winner
3. I’m interested ...in...traditional festivals
4. In the past, people made fire ...by...rubbing pieces of bamboo together
Time: 5 mins
- Do the exercise.
PRESENTATION
- T asks Ss some question about their preparation for Tet holiday.
	What do you always do before Tet?
	What is the most important to prepare for Tet?
* Vocabulary
- pomegranate	quả lựu
- Sweetie	con yêu
- dried watermelon seeds	hạt dưa
- jam	mứt
- peach blossoms	hoa đào
- apricot blossoms	hoa mai
- marigold	cúc vạn thọ
- violet	hoa vi-o-let
Time: 10 mins
- Listen and answer the teacher questions.
-Listen to the teacher. Repeat the words in chorus and individual. 
- Copy the words.
PRACTICE
	* Speaking:
- Mrs. Quyen and Lan are preparing for Tet. You now work in pairs, rearrange their sentences in the correct order to make a complete dialogue.
A – F – C – H – D – J – B – G – E – I.
- T helps Ss to practice the dialogue again only with some key words : Bed room ............. oranges and pomegranates ................ ao dai ............ clean the windows
- T now helps Ss to make a similar dialogue for :
A village festival, a spring festival, a harvest festival, a flower festival.....
Time: 15 mins
- work in pairs, do the exercise
- Practice in pairs.
- Make similar dialogue
	* Listening :
- T helps Ss to play the game. Networks
- We are going to listen to a conversation between Mr and Mrs. Robinson and Liz about their preparation for Tet. T asks Ss to listen to the tape and complete the sentences 
a. flower market
b. traditional
c. dried watermelon seeds
d. make
- T plays the tape again and complete the “Thing to do” note of the Robinsons before Tet
Things to do
Mr. Robinson
Go to the flower market to buy peach blossom and a bunch of marigolds
Liz
Go to the market to buy some candies and a packet of dried watermelon seeds
Mrs. Robinson
Go to Mrs. Nga’s house to learn how to make spring rolls.
- T helps Ss to play the game Brainstorming about the things to do to prepare for Tet holiday.
Time: 15 mins
- Play the game. 
- Listen and do the exercise.
- Present the answers.
- Look and copy the right answers.
- Listen again and complete the “Things to do” note.
CONSOLIDATION:
Teacher consolidates the new words and structures.
Some new words or phrases related.
HOMEWORK
Learn by heart the new words and phrase.
Do the exercise in the exercise book.
Prepare next lesson READ.
