 Aims and objectives:

 -To help students listen to the dialogue between Nga and a foreign student ,Kate to know some Nga’s difficulties in her studying English .

 -By the end of the lesson ,students will be able to listen for specific information, to check the True or False sentences and correct the false sentences .

 -To make students be aware of the importance of learning English in present time, and try their best to study English.

 2/ Pre –listening :
 - Sets the scene :
Shows the picture and introduces : 
 In the conversation ,there are 3 people : Host ,Nga and Kate.Nga is studying English in London . Nga is
talking to Kate about her studying English .
- Presents some vocabulary :

 - Asks students to read the statements on page 35. (Puts the poster on board )
 - Has students work in pairs to predict which statement is True and which is False.
 3/ While- listening:
 1st listening:
 Ÿ Asks students to listen to the tape and check what they guess.
 Ÿ 2nd listening:
 Asks students to listen to the tape again and choose the True or False sentences
 Ÿ 3rd listening:
Asks students to listen to the tape
again and check the answers.

4/ Post- listening:
Asks the students to talk some information about Nga they catch from the dialogue, and then complete the passage .

Asks students to answer the questions :

Prepare the new lesson
Write a passage about the difficulties you have in learning English.

She works for an international bank in Ha noi . She is studying English in London for her job. She wants to improve her writing skills. She likes studying English.
Because it’s an interesting language and it’s very useful . She can talk to people from all over the world and can understand the words of her favorite songs .
