 Hoa and her friends had a medical check-up. Listen to the dialogue and find out:
 - What did Hoa do before the medical check-up?
 - What did the nurse do with her?
 - How tall is she?
 - How heavy is she? ....

Task 1: Practice reading the dialogue in pairs.
Task 2: Now answer, number the sentences:(On Power Point)
Task 3: A game ( Lucky numbers- answer the questions about the dialogue)(On Power Point)
1. What did Hoa do before a medical check-up?
-> She was in the waiting room, filled in her medical record.
2. What did the nurse do first?
-> She called Hoa’s name.
3. What did she do with Hoa then?
- >Then she took Hoa’s temperature.
4. What did she do next?
-> Next she measured Hoa.
5. What did she do after that?
-> She weighed Hoa.
6. What was Hoa’s temperature? Was it normal?
-> It was 37oC. Yes, it was.
* Speaking: Mapped dialogue:
* Role play: Now you work in pairs to make dialogues. One is the nurse and the other is the student:
* Old lesson:
- Learn new words by heart.
- Make 2 sentences with “Would you + v-inf.?”
- Do exercise 1,2 (P 67 ) in work book
- Practice the dialogue as many times as possible.
* New lesson:
- Prepare for next period: A2,3
 + Note the way to ask and answer about personal information of the medical record: name, class, school, address, age, weight, height, . . . . . . 
T: gets Ss to watch a short clip about medical check-up, asks:
- What are they about ?
Ss: answer, may be in Vietnamese
T: asks:
- Have you ever taken a medical check-up?
- What did the doctor or the nurse do with you?
T: from the questions used to chat, T leads Ss in Ss in new lesson
T: plays the tape once and gives Ss an aim to listen ( You will listen and find out How tall is Hoa?, How heavy is she? )
Ss: listen.
T: gives new words using techniques and in the order of listening- speaking- reading- writing ( both using technology to show the pictures and the board), writes new words on the board

Ss: give the meaning in Vietnamese from the techniques of teacher, then write the new words into the note book
T: gets Ss to review structure, gives example or asks Ss to do

 Now with the list of new words and the meanings on the screen, I will erase one after the other may be words in English or in Vietnamese and then I point at the blank, ask: “ What’s this in English or in Vietnamese?”, and you have to call out the word or the meaning, after all you have to call out the whole
T: plays the cassette once more
Ss: listen and then practice reading in groups of three roles loudly
T: observes, goes round and helps
Ss: stand up reading: 3 groups
T: calls Ss to remark
T: explains task 2
S: work in pars to do it in 2 minutes
T: gets feedback and corrects, asks Ss to write this exercise into their notebooks
T: introduces the game, divides the class into two groups: A and B, explains:
 I have 6 numbers for you, in turn one representative from each group choose a number, behind a number is a question, you have to answer the question if your group has a right answer, you can get 1 marks, but if you can’t, of course you get zero mark, and the other group will get your mark if they have a right answer. However, there’s number you needn’t answer but you can get marks, it is Lucky Number. OK, Now let’s get started.

T: gives the mapped dialogue, explains how to do
Ss: listen and then have two minutes to prepare for remembering the dialogue, play the roles of the nurse and Hoa
T: explains the next task, make a model dialogue with a student
Ss: in pairs, act in the front
T & the whole class remark, gives marks to excellent students
