Lesson 1: Getting started

A. THE OBJECTIVES

- By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to listen and read for specific information about a special day then practice listening and speaking with the lexical items related to the topic "My New School".

B. CONTENT: Vocabulary: School lexical items

Grammar: The simple present, the present progressive

C. MATERIALS: English 6 textbook, questionnaire, disk, CD player

Work arrangements: Individuals, pairs, groups, T-WC

Anticipated problems: It’s a long lesson with a lot of new words, there may not be enough time for all the activities.
