 Time allotted: 45 minutes

I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:

 - Write a descriptive paragraph about a film they have seen basing on prompts.

II. Teaching aids: textbook, handouts, posters

Activity: Understanding your friends.
T’s step:

T introduces the rule of the game.
T’s instruction:
I have 4 pieces of papers about 4 names of films, and I will call some of you stand in front of class and describe this film for class to guess what the film is. Remember you work individually.
Checking instruction :
How many pieces of papers are there?
You work individually or in group.
To know Titanic film more clearly, today we’ll move to the lesson: Unit 13: FILMS AND CINEMA, Part D: Writing
Vocabulary
+tragic (a): bi kịch. bi thảm

-Ask Ss to look at t; “he picture and answer the question “ what is happening with the ship”

Task 2: Make an outline
- T elicits for ss how to write a description of film.
T asks Ss to work in groups of 6 and write a description of film that you have seen by using about the film’s outline and useful expression.
T gives ss poster to write.
T gives ss time to write a paragraph (13 mins)
T asks ss to use simple tense to talk about the film name, content, characters, and uses simple past tense: talk about the events occurred in the past.
WRITINGS’ CORRECTION (WHOLE CLASS)
T goes around to observe and provide help.
After 10 minutes, T calls 2 groups to stick the written posters on the board.
T: “Now, you have 2 minutes to realize any mistake in both letters”.
T corrects some mistakes on the writings (if any) and give feedback or some compliments for good writings “Good job! Well done”.
T may give a few words of encouragement “Your writing is rather good, just some minor mistakes. I highly appreciate it”.
