Procedure: Time Activities 4’ 7’ 5’ 10’ 10’ 7’ 2’ * Warm up: - Hang the picture of two people who are talking at school on the blackboard and ask some questions: + What are they talking about? + Do you often talk about your school? + What do you tell about? - Lead in the new lesson: There are many things about school that we want to say. Today, we’ll study about school talks. I. Pre-reading - Elicit the new words: + international (adj) thuộc về quốc tế (context) + corner shop (n) cửa hàng ở góc phố (translation) + narrow (adj) chật, hẹp (picture) + crowded (adj) đông đúc (context) + stuck (adj) bị tắc, bị kẹt (translation) + profession (n) nghề nghiệp (= job/occupation) - Read aloud all the word. - Read again and ask Ss to repeat after T. - Call on some Ss to read aloud. * Checking: Slap the board II. While-reading 1. Task 1 (in textbook) - Run through the task - Explain some difficult words if necessary - Ask Ss to work in pairs and do the task in 5 minutes - Call on some Ss to give the answers - Listen and give feedback -> Answer keys 1. enjoy 2. traffic 3. worry 4. crowded 5. language - Explain the meaning of sentences 2. Task 3 (in textbook) - Ask students to read all questions to understand the content - Explain some difficult words if necessary - Ask students to read the small talks again to answer the questions - Ask students to work with a partner - Walk around the class to help students whenever they need - Call Ss to give the answers - Correct -> Suggested answers: 1/.
