c) Các danh từ tận cùng là “y”: 
* Thêm « s » nếu trước « y » là một nguyên âm : 
Ví dụ : a day → days
* Đổi “y” thành “i” rồi thêm “es” nếu trước “y” là một phụ âm.
Ví dụ  : a baby → babies
d) Một số danh từ tận cùng bằng “f” hoặc “fe” được tạo thành số nhiều bằng cách đổi “f” hoặc “fe” thành “ves”.
Ví dụ : a calf → calves
e) Một số danh từ tận cùng bằng “o” :
* Thêm “s” nếu trước “o” là một nguyên âm.
Ví dụ : a radio → radios
* Thêm “es” nếu trước “o” là một phụ âm.
Ví dụ : a tomato → tomatoes
f. Một số danh từ biến đổi bất quy tắc.

* Khi chủ ngữ là I, WE, YOU, THEY hoặc khi chủ ngữ là một danh từ, ngữ danh từ, ngữ đại từ số nhiều: ta dùng dạng nguyên mẫu của động từ
* Khi chủ ngữ là HE, SHE, IT hoặc là bất cứ danh từ số ít nào đó, ta thêm s hoặc es ngay sau động từ
* Khi nào thêm s, khi nào thêm es sau động từ? Ta có quy tắc rất dễ nhớ như sau:
+ Động từ tận cùng là ch, o, s, sh, x, z thì ta thêm es. ví dụ:
watch --> he watches...	go --> she goes...	do --> he does...
miss -- she misses...	wash --> he washes...	mix --> she mixes...
+ Khi động từ tận cùng bằng “y”, ta đổi thành “i” rồi thêm “es”
* Tất cả các động từ còn lại ta thêm “s”
Ví dụ :	+ I like ice-cream = tôi thích kem.
+ She loves durians = cô ấy mê món sầu riêng.
+ He and I sing very well. = anh ta và tôi hát rất hay.
* Trường hợp ngoại lệ : have à has
