Procedure: Teacher’s and Ss’ activities Content - T asks Ss to work in pairs and practice saying greetings, and asking- answering the questions. - T. gives her ideas. - T. has Ss look at the 6 pictures in part A1 (page 20) and predict what T. suggests Ss to do. Ss give their opinion. - T. has Ss listen to the commands in books. Ss listen to the tape carefully and repeat after the tape - T. presents new words. (using action, gestures) - T. reads new words Ss listen carefully and then repeat after her (choral) - T. calls Ss to reread new words (choral, individual). -T. corrects their pronunciation - T. asks Ss to practice these commands by following the T’s requirement The whole class do as her commands first then individual / Ss by Ss. - T. has Ss works in groups and practice those commands by themselves (silently/ and aloud) - T. gives her ideas. - T. asks Ss to match the commands they’ve just learned with the right pictures Ss work in groups in three minutes. Then they give their answers on the board. - T. corrects their mistakes. - T. asks Ss to do exercises A1 page 11. Ss tell their combination and then write them in their exercise books. - T. corrects their mistakes. - T. has the whole class play the game “Simon says”. - T. guides Ss how to play it. - Then T. has Ss play the game “Slap the board” with the commands they’ve just learnt. - T. reads the commands in Vietnamese.
