Procedure: Teacher's and Students' activities Content - T. has Ss practice asking and answering some questions Ss work in pairs silently in 2 minutes, then they practice each other aloud. (using the photo of a famous person) - T. gives her idea and corrects their mistakes. - T. introduces the new lesson, and asks Ss to count some cardinal numbers from 0 to 20 again. - T. has Ss listen to the cardinal numbers from 1 to 100 twice, then they repeat them after the tape. - T. helps Ss take a note about the form of these numbers from 20 to 90. - T. may call some Ss to count the cardinal numbers again (individual) - T. corrects their pronunciation. - T. guides Ss to combine numbers and how to read them. - T. guides Ss to change a singular noun into a plural noun and practice the way to pronounce them. - T. presents a new word and explains its meaning by using realias in class. (T. notices the plural form of noun and its pronunciation) - T. has the class listen this word and repeat after her (choral, individual) - T. corrects their pronunciation. - T. gives some examples and has Ss tell the way to use there is/ there are. - T. has the class practice reading the cardinal numbers from 1 to 100 (silently, aloud) - T. corrects their mistakes in pronunciation. - Then T. has the class play a game "Bingo" with the cardinal numbers. Ss work by themselves. - T. gives her idea - After that, T. takes a few minutes for Ss to remind some school things they've already learnt. Ss have a look at the picture and retell the names of the school things in class aloud. - T. corrects their pronunciation. - T. has Ss work in groups to count the items in the classroom in 3 minutes (silently), then they count the items aloud (using the patterns there is/ there are) - T. corrects their mistakes - T. asks Ss to do exercise B1 in workbook Ss work in groups and give their answers - T. corrects their mistakes - T. calls Ss to write the plural form of the words below - T. corrects their mistakes 1.
