Presentation: (15’) - Ask Ss to look at the picture, ask questions. + Who is this? + What is this? + Where is it? - Introduce the new words: + big (ajd) + small (adj) + city (n) + country (n) - Have Ss practice the new words. - Introduce the possessive case, showing Ss the picture: * Possessive: Hoa’s school * S + tobe + adj * S + tobe + adverb of places. Ex: + It is big. + It is in the city. 3. Practice: (15’) - Ask Ss to read the text and check their prediction. - Ask Ss to read the text again and answer the questions (A2 page 44) 1. Is Phong’s school small? 2. Is Thu’s school small? 3. Where is Phong’s school? 4. Is Thu’s school in the country? - Call some pairs read their answers in front of class and get information. 4. Production: (7’) - Ask Ss to ask and answer about their school in pairs. Ex: P1: What is your school? P2: It’s Le Quy Don school. P1: Is it small? P2: No, it isn’t P1: Where is it? P2: It’s in the city. - Ask Ss to write about 4 sentences to talk about friend’s school. 5. Homework: (3’) - Ask Ss to learn by heart vocabulary and possesssive case . Prepare the next lesson Unit 4: A3 – 4/p.45. Team works. - Look at the picture. - Listen and write. - Practice. - Listen. - Answer the T’s questions. + Phong’s school :small / in the country. + Thu’s school: big / in the city. - Work in groups. - Practice.
