I. OBJECTIVES: 
Teaching aim: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to understand a text about house in the mountain, use prepositions of place to describe the position of a house.
II. PREPARATIONS: Book, pictures, cassette player and tape
III. PROCEDURES:

1. Warm - up: (5’)
- Ask Ss some questions:
 + Where do you live?
 + Is there a  near / next to ?
2 . Presentation: (15’)
- Ask Ss to look at the picture:
- Introduce some new words:
 + in front of (prep) 
 + behind (prep)
 + to the left of (pre)
 + to the right of (pre)
 + well (n)
 + mountain (n)
- Ask Ss practice new words.
- Set the scene: We are talking about a house.
- Give structure:
Where + tobe + S?
[ S + tobe + preposition of place
3. Practice: (15’)
- Ask Ss look at the pictures.
- Play the tape for Ss, have them listen and repeat.
- Call some Ss to practice.
- Say the model sentences:
 +Where are the mountains? 
 + They are behind the house. 
- Have Ss practice in pairs.

 b) tall trees e) flowers 
 c) mountains f) house
- Have Ss write on notebook.
4. Production: (8’)
- Ask them to look at the pictures.
- Let Ss listen to the tape and find the right picture.
 a) Which is Ba’s house? - A
 b) Which is Lan’s house? - B 
 c) Which is Tuan’s house? – B
5. Homework: (2’)
- Ask Ss to learn by heart vocabulary and how to describe the position of the house.
Prepare next lesson: Unit 6: C3 – 4/p.70, 71
