1. Warm up.
* Chain game:
- Ask some Ss to tell the everyday activities:
- Possible answer:
- do the housework.
- do the housework, go to school.
- do the housework, go to school, have lunch 
2. Presetation.
a. Pre-teach.

(to) drive	(example, picture)
(to) wait for	(example, picture)
(to) ride	(example, picture)
* Checking: What and where.
- Write the words on the blackboard. Each word is inside a circle.
- Get Ss to repeat the words and then rub out one of the words but do not rub out the circle.
- Get Ss to repeat the words including the rubbed out words by pointing at the empty circle.
- Continue until all the circles are empty.
- Ask Ss to go to the board and fill in the circles with the correct words.
b. Set the scene:
- Explain the situation of the lesson.
- Tell Ss about activities people in the pictures (P. 82) are doing.
c. Model sentences:
- Elicit the sentences.
I am playing video games.
He is playing video games.
We are walking to school.
They are walking to school.
* Concept checkings:
- Check form:
S + am/ is/ are + V-ing.
- Check use:
How do we use the present progressive?
(For an action happening now)
- Check meaning: ®ang 
- Check intonation:
3. Practice.
* A1 Listen and repeat. (P. 82).
- Ask Ss to listen and repeat chorally.
- Show them the cues:
a. Dung/ play badminton.
b. Tuan and Nga/ read.
c. We/ watch televition.
d. They/ listen to music.
e. I/ learn English.
f. She/ do the housework.
g. He/ have lunch.
h. My brother/ wash his face.
- Ask Ss to practice chorally.
- Call some Ss to practice.
- Stick the cues on the board then ask Ss to write sentences.
- Correct if necessary.
* Answer key:
a. Dung is playing badminton.
b. Tuan and Nga are reading.
c. We are watching televition.
d. They are listening to music.
e. I am learning English.
f. She is doing the housework.
g. He is having lunch.
h. My brother is washing his face.
4. Production.
* A4 Listen and number the picture as you hear (P. 84).
- Ask Ssto look at the pictures on the page 84 carefully.
- Tell them how to do the exercise.
- Ask them to guess the answers before listening.
- Let them listen to the tape carefully (three times).
- Ss correct their answers.
- T checks and corrects.
* Tapecript:
1. Mr. Tam is a businessman. He’s driving home from work.
2. Mrs. Thanh is waiting at the station. The train is late and she is very angry.
3. Nam and Quang are going around the city by motorbike.
4. Viet is a student. He is riding his bike to school.
