OBJECTIVES
- Competencies: Read and write ordinal numbers/dates.

- Ask Ss to revise the numbers (cardinai and ordinal numbers which they studied last year)
- Comment and give feedback
- Remind and then count things in the class
 1.Warm up: 
- Cardinal numbers: 1, 2, 3, 
- Ordinal numbers: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th,
- There are 21 desks in our classroom.
- I’m sitting at the first desk.

- Have Ss read through the numbers
- Let Ss listen to the recordings, then repeat all the numbers in the box.
- Notice Ss of writing and reading the numbers first, second, third, fifth, ninth, twentieth and the ordinal numbers forming -th
- Read silently
- Listen & repeat
- Take notes
2. Presentation:
* Vocabulary:
+ Ordinal numbers (from 1st to 31st)
 * Notes:
- first = 1st
- second = 2nd
- third = 3 rd
- fourth = 4 th
- twenty – first = 21st

- Have Ss read along the recording in chorus
- Call on some Ss to read the numbers aloud
- Give help in pronunciation, especially in the final consonants –th
- Give Ss some special days in Viet Nam and other countries then ask Ss to read the ones ( if time is available)

- Have Ss cross – check their answers
