I. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

 - To provide students with a practice to describe the position of things.

- To enable Ss to improve their writing skills .

- To educate Ss the tidiness.

- Tidiness .
II. TEACHER’S AND STUDENTS’ PREPARATION
1. Method: communicative approach.
2. Techniques / activities: asking and answering, playing games, repetition, guessing.
3. Materials needed: text books, paper board, chalks, pictures.
4. Student’s preparation: text books.
5. Previous exercises: exercise 4 and 5 on pages 17 and 18 in workbook
III. PROCEDURES IN CLASS
1. Stabilization (3ms): - Greeting.
 - Checking absence.
 - Warm up : Have Ss play a game “ Boardrace”
Rule: - Divide the class into 2 groups.
 - Have Ss go to the board then write down the prepositions of place they have learnt.
 - Which group has more correct answer will be the winner.
Expected answers:
+ to/on the left/ right of, between, near, next to, beside, in the middle of, opposite, behind

1. Lead - in:
- Continue the game and lead in the new lesson: Let’s learn how to descibe the position of things in the kitchen.
2. Pre - writing
- Teach some new words.
 Vocabulary:
 - folder (N) : cặp đựng (picture)
- beneath (Prep): bên dưới (translation)
- above (prep): bên trên (translation)
- towel rack (N): dây phơi khăn
 - counter (N) : quầy bếp
 - wardrode (N): tủ quần áo
-jar (N): lọ (picture)
Ex1: There is a bed near the desk.
Ex2: There is an armchair next to the table.
Ex3: There are flowers on the table.
Ex4: Near the desk, there is a bed.
Ex5: Next to the table, there is an armchair.
Ex6: On the table, there are flowers.
Ex: The wardrobe is opposite the desk and beside the window.

- Read again and asks the whole class to repeat. 
- Ask some Ss to speak out these words.
- Give feeback.
- Have Ss read the desription and then answer the questions

3. While - writing
Task 1: 
- Have Ss read the passage then write a description of the kitchen in page 33.
- Have Ss do the task in 10ms in groups of 4.
- Call Ss to hang their writing on the board.
- Give feedback.

- Have Ss write a description of a room in their house.
- Call some Ss to read their description.
- Give feedback.
- Introduce Ss the mindmap.
- Ask Ss to learn by heart vocabulary 
- Ask Ss to prepare lesson 6 : Language Focus

Opposite the bookshelf, there is a rack and on the rack, there is a television

Expected answers:
- There is a refrigerator in the right corner of the room .
- Next to the refrigerator are the stove and the oven .
- On the other side of the oven , there is a sink and next to the sink is a towel rack.
- The dish rack is on the counter, to the right of the window and beneath the shelf.
- On the shelf and on the counter beneath the window, there are jars of sugar, flour and tea.
- In the middle of the kitchen, there is a table and four chairs .
- The lighting fixture is above the table and beneath the lighting fixture is a vase with flowers. 
III. Homework
- Learn by heart new words .
- Prepare lesson 6 : Language Focus
