Researching the lesson: Objectives Aims: - Reading for details about the situations which require first-aid Teaching Points: - - Students will be able to know what they would do in the situations which require first-aid. The picture (from the school library). II. Procedure: Stage 1: Warm up 1/ Getting started Kim’s Games. Open your books and look at the things on page 80. These things are used for first aid. Now we divided into two groups. Close your books and go to the board and write the names of those things you’ve seen. Vietnamese is possible. Now open your book again and read these phrases. Key: Emergency room; 4. Ice. Sterile dressing. 5. Water pack. Medicated oil. 6. Alcohol Now write down what you would do in these situations which require first-aid. Two groups have the answers. A girl has burn on her arm. (use cold water/ice to ease the pain) A boy has a bad cut on his leg. (use Alcohol/medicated oil/sterile dressing) A girl has a nose bleed (use a handkerchief to stop the bleed/ tell her to lie down) a boy has a bee sting. (use medicated oil ..... ) 2/ Listen and read Stage 2: Pre-Reading A/- Pre-Teach Vocabulary an ambulance: (drawing a car with a red cross) an emergency : when we need an ambulance. (cap cuu). How can I say? I like you to come to my party. How can I say? I tell my mother that I'll surely finish my work before bedtime. How can I say? Ask students to look at the picture on page 82 and write out all the verbs describing the actions of people on it.
