UNIT 3 : A TRIP TO THE COUNTRYSIDE

 PERIOD 15 : GETTING STARTED + LISTEN AND READ

 Aims and objectives:

 -To introduce the life and activities in the countryside through the trip to the countryside of Ba’s family.

 -By the end of the lesson ,students will be able to talk about the life and activities in the countryside.

 -To make students be aware of the beauty of the countryside , love their home village, and visit their relatives when they have free time.

1/ Language :

 -Vocabulary :water the vegetables, harvest, plow, home village, bamboo forest, banyan tree, shrine, river bank

 -Grammar : Past simple ( review )

 Modals could with wish ( I wish I could visit your village again some day. )

4/ Techniques :Repetition, Prediction, Choosing, Questions- Answers, Pair work

 Asks some questions
Do you like living in the countryside?
Are you familiar with the city life?
Do you like the country life?
 What activities do you usually see in the country?
 Now, look at the picture and talk something about activities in the countryside
 “ What do you see in the picture1, 2, ?”
 What is he/ she doing ?
 Where are they ?

 3. She is feeding the chickens.
 4.They are harvesting the crop.

 Plays the tape (twice)
 Asks students to read the reading in silence and decide the statements in Ex a/ ( True or False )
