V-Procedures: Stages /time Teacher’s activities Students’activities Warm up:5’ Pre-reading:10’ While-reading:22’ Post-reading:7’ Homework :1’ *Kim ‘s Game -Divides the class into two groups . -Sticks the picture on the board . -Gives 20 seconds to look at the pictures and then puts it away . -After 20 seconds . T will stick the pictures and check their writing . -The group which writes more correct words will win the game . Answer Water , clock , TV, stereo . Plumber (n) thợ sửa ống nước (a person who repair pipesand water system) Crack (v) vết nứt (real object) drip (n) nhỏ giọt, rỉ (situation) . *Check techniques “Rut out and remember”. -Erases the words by English and says the words in Vietnamese . -Corrects dictation -Introduces the lesson . “Mrs Mi is talking to her neighbor, Mrs Ha about her water bill this month”. -Writes the questions on the board . -Plays the tape twice and asks them to answer the questions . 1-How many people are there in the conversation ? Who are they ? -There are two people. They are Mrs Mi and Mrs Ha . 2-Where are they now ? They’re in Mrs Ha’s house . 3-What’s Mrs Ha worried about ? Mrs Ha is worried about her most recent water bill. 4-What does Mrs Mi suggest ? Mrs Mi suggests taking showers . -Asks Sts to open the books and practice the dialogue . -Sticks the poster of true or false statements on the board . -Gets them to work in pairs to check (v) the boxes . then correct the false sentences . -Calls Sts to read aloud before the class . Answer True . True. False (Mrs Ha hasn’t checked the pipes yet).
