III. While- reading: (20 ms)
Task 1:
- lets sts read three passages, notice the words that they have to give definitions
- asks sts to explain the definition into Vietnamese (if necessary)
- asks sts to close books. T reads aloud the definition, S give the words
Task 2:
- lets sts read the questions carefully(makes sure that all of them understand them), then has sts read the passages again and answer the questions
- calls a st in groups to answer aloud, others groups listen and correct
- gives comments and has sts to practice ask and answer again

I. Lead- in: (5ms)
- has sts look the pictures and guess:
 + Where did Nga’s class go on an excursion last week?
 +How did they get there?
 + What happened to them?
- leads to the lesson
II. Pre- speaking: (10ms)
Task 1:
- gives some new words then reads aloud
 + coach (n): xe đò
 + raincoat (n): áo mưa
 + luggage (n) hành lý
 + get lost (v) lạc đường
 + carsick (adj) say xe
- explains the situation: “Unfortunately, the excursion turned out to be a disaster. Most of the things they did went wrong.” Combine the things in column A with the corresponding in column B and read out the sentences
III. While-speaking: (20 ms)
Task 2:
- has sts use the information in column A and B to make question and answer
- goes round and help sts with difficulties
- asks some pairs to read aloud 
Task 3:
- explains the situation:” Most of the students in Nga’s class are not happy with their excursion to Huong pagoda. Now they are talking about what they wish they had or hadn’t done”
- asks sts to use the structures:
If + S+ had PP , S +would/wouldn’t + have PP
E.g. If we hadn’t gone by coach, we wouldn’t have got carsick
 If we had gone by bike, we wouldn’t have got carsick
- explains the example clearly and has sts give another example 
- lets sts discuss in groups to continue the talk, using the ideas in task

Task 4:
- lets sts work in groups of 8, in turn tell to each other about their class’ excursion to Huong pagoda and express their regrets about what they did or did not do during the excursion
- goes round to control and help sts if necessary
- calls some pairs to tell about their regret about what they did or did not do
IV. Post-listening: (8ms)
- gives situation:” You spent 2 days on Nha Trang beach last holiday, but you regretted about what you did or did not do during the holiday. Tell your classmate about your regrets”
- after the limited time, has a member in each group stand up and tell bout their group’s discussion, others listen and give more ideas
V. Post-speaking: (2ms)
- has sts write their discussing ideas in notebook and prepare for the next period

II. Pre-listening: (12 ms)
 1. Questions:
- delivers each group a sheet of paper
- has sts discuss the questions about Cuc phuong national park in textbook then fill in the paper and sticks on the board
- give comments
