WHILE YOU SPEAK Task 2: Practise giving compliments to the response: - Read the cues once. Ask Ss to listen and look at the information in the task. - Explain the situations of each dialogues. - Guide Ss to use suitable compliments in each dialogues to practise giving compliments to suit the responses. - Move around to give help. - Call on some pairs to act out their conversation in front of the class. - Give comments on their conversations & give feedback: Task 3: Practise reponding to the compliments given: - Read the cues once. Ask Ss to listen and look at the information in the task. - Explain the situations of each dialogues. - Guide Ss to use suitable compliments in each dialogues, using the cues. - Ask Ss to work in pairs, practise responding compliments to suit the responses. - Move around to give help. - Call on some pairs to act out their conversation in front of the class. - Give comments on their conversations & give feedback. - Work in pairs - Some pairs to act out their conversation in front of the class. * Key: David: You really have a beautiful dress. WHILE YOU WRITE Task 2: Put the sentences of the two paragraphs in their right order: - Ask students to put the sentences of the two paragraphs below in their right order. Paragraph 1: - Call on some students to order the sentences in front of the class. - Elicit the others to comment and give the correct answers. - Feedback and give the correct answers.
