Hoa learned how to use a computer.
Her cushion was blue and white.
Next, she made a skirt with white flowers on it.
She tried it on and it fitted.
Hoa’s neighbor helped her and it finally fitted very well.
+ Ss read the text and give the answers before class.
+ T corrects if necessary and gives feedback.

+ After that Ss read the text again and answer the questions in pairs (p. 93)
+ T calls some pairs ask and answer the questions before class. T corrects and gives feedback.

She learned to use a sewing machine.
She made a cushion.

Next, she made a skirt.
It was green with white flowers on it
It looked pretty.
She tried it on but it didn’t fit.
Hoa’s neighbor helped her.
Finally, if fitted very well.
- Teacher asks Ss to work in four groups and give the past form of given verbs: watch, buy, cut, use, decide, be, make, help, fit
- Reviewing past tense forms of verbs (regular and irregular)
-T briefly explaining how to pronounce – ED of regular verbs ( /id/; /t/; /d/)
+ Students read over 7 sentences, drawing their attention to words indicating time order (first, then, next, finally)
+ Students rewrite the sentences, using the correct verb tense form (work in pairs).
+ Some students read their complete sentences aloud. Then T corrects the answers.
Hoa watched her neighbor make her dress.
First, she bought some material.
Then, she cut the dress out.
Next, she used a sewing machine to sew the dress. Hoa decided that sewing was a useful hobby.
She made a cushion and a dress. The cushion was fine, but the dress wasn’t.
Then, her neighbor helped her, so finally it fitted her.
+ T asks Ss to work in groups to retell the story of Hoa with given words:
 Hoa / decide / learn / how to sew
She / buy / material
First / she / make / cushion / her armchair
Next / she / make / skirt / it / pretty
Hoa / try / on / it / too big
Mrs Mai, Hoa’s neighbor / help / her / it / fit / well
+ Each group sticks their extra board on the board and reads aloud their answer
+ T corrects and gives feedback.
Hoa decided to learn how to sew.
She bought some material.
First, she made a cushion for her armchair.
Next, she made a skirt. It was pretty.
Hoa tried it on. It was too big.
Mrs Mai, Hoa’s neighbor helped her. It fitted very well.
Ss copy the remember on p. 94 and read some regular and irregular verbs.
4. Homework:
	- Make 4 sentences using past simple tense.
	- Learn words, grammar by heart. Reread the text.
	- Copy the answers on notebooks.
	- Prepare for Language focus 3
