- Pronounce the sound / e / and /æ/ correctly
- Use the past perfect tense appropriately

Procedure: Time Activities 3’ 10’ 20’ 10’ 2’ Lead in - Hang two pictures on the board - Ask students the question: What are these? - Introduce the sounds / e/ and /æ/ I. Pronounciation /e/ : first pronounce I then open your mouth a little more , it is a short sound. /æ/ : first pronounce /e/ then open your mouth a little more Distinguish these two sounds Instruct the way to pronounce. / e/ /æ/ Men bed man bad Pen send pan sand Said met sad mat - Repeat the sounds clearly. - Practice the sentences - Call on some Ss pratice - Give the feedback II. Grammar: The past perfect - Give the examples: Eg: Ø She watched TV after she had done all her homework Ø He had had dinner before he went to bed. Ø when I came, they had left. - Elicit - Identify the past perfect. - Give the form and the usage * Form: S + HAD + V3ed... * Usage: Dùng để diễn tả một hành động xảy ra và kết thúc trước một thời điểm hoặc một hành động khác trong quá khứ.
