Procedure: Teacher's and Students' activities Content - T. asks Ss to take some objects and practice asking –answering together, using the patterns they have already learnt Ss work in pairs silently and aloud - T. corrects their mistakes - T. introduces the new lesson - T. asks Ss to look at the pictures and tell something in the living room (using Network) - T. reads new words aloud. Ss listen and repeat after her (choral) - T. calls some Ss to reread them aloud - T corrects their pronunciation - T. reviews the patterns "this is/ that is..." to introduce the things by giving model sentences - Then T. shows the things in the pictures and asks Ss to answer her questions - Then T. introduces the new patterns and explains how to use them - T. asks Ss to listen to the tape twice. Ss listen carefully and repeat after the tape. - T. asks some Ss to practice with her and their partners - T. asks Ss to practice asking and answering these patterns in groups (silently) in three minutes - T. calls some pairs to practice asking and answering aloud - T. has Ss ask and answer each other.
