 I. Warm up Chatting 
- Introduces the new lesson : Tell Ss that they are going to read about an unusual festival in Spain and ask Ss if they know anything about this festival.

1. Pre-reading( Ordering)
- Have Ss look at the pictures and describe each of them quickly. Ask some questions, e.g. 'What can you see in the picture?' or 'What are people doing?"...
	Now Ss work in pairs to order the pictures. Check Ss' answers and write them on the board.
- Collect some ss' ideas
-	Ss read the texts quickly and check their answers. Have Ss correct their answers on the board if they are incorrect.

2. While-reading
- Ss read the texts again to answer the questions. Ss underline parts of the text that help them with the answers. Ss compare their answers before giving the answers to T. Ask them to give evidence when giving the answers.
- Run through the questions 
- Ask ss to work individually then compare the answers with their partner
- Call on 2 ss to write the answers onthe board
- T confirms the correct answers
-Open their books, read the text and answer the questions.

 Ss work in groups and read the newspaper headlines.
	They discuss what is unusual about the festivals.
	Have some Ss present their group's ideas.
- T can goes around to help the weakers
- Call on some pairs to practice in front of the class
- Tell Ss that the table includes information about the two festivals in 4. Ss work in groups and prepare a short presentation about the festival they like. This activity can be organized as a competitive game. Give the groups some minutes to prepare and rehearse for the presentation.
	When time is up, some groups will be invited to present in one minute. Other groups comment and then vote for the best presentation.

- write a paragraph about a festival

3. Attitude: Sts must have good attitude while working together.
4. Competencies: Talking about some traditional festivals in the country.

- Teacher elicits the topic from students.

A Listening 
1. Pre- listening 
Open prediction (1 P45)
- Ss work in pairs, look at the pictures and say what kind of festival it is. They then share their answer with the whole group.
-Collect some ss' ideas
2. While- listening
a. Checking the prediction 
- Ss read the statements in exercise 2 and guess if they are true or false. Write their guesses on the board. Play the recording and ask Ss to listen to check their guesses. Ss work in pairs to compare their answers before T plays the recording a second time for pairs to check their answers. Ask for Ss' answers and write them on the board next to their guesses. Don't confirm the correct answers now.
- Have ss listen to the recording and check the prediction

Have Ss compare their answers in pairs before giving T the answers. Some Ss write their answers on the board. Play the recording the last time to confirm the answers

 1. Pre- writing (E4 P55). Make a note about some popular foods or drinks in your neighborhood
- Ss think of none festival they attended and make notes following the suggestions in the book. They can share their notes with a classmate after finishing. If time allows, have some Ss to share their notes with the whole class. Make any necessary comments.
Do this activity by answering the questions:
- Name of the festival?
- What was the festival?
- Where was it held?
- When was it held?
- Who celebrated it?
- How was it held?
- Why was it held?

2. While-writing
Write a paragraph about the festival they attended. (E 5 page 33)
- Ss write their paragraph individually based on the notes they have made. Ask one or two Ss t write the paragraph on the board. Other Ss and T comment on the paragraph (s) on the board. Then T collects some Ss' writing to correct at home.
- Display some of leaflets on the board and other ss give comments

- Consolidate and apply what they have learnt in Unit 9 by doing various activities and exercises.
2. Skills: Listening and speaking skills.
3. Attitude: Sts must have good attitude while working together.
4. Competencies: Talking about some traditional festivals in the country.
