Objectives: - By the end of the lesson, students know the effective ways to learn vocabulary in English. - Focus on reading skills. II. Teaching aids: T: extra board, pieces of paper, posters. Teaching the new lesson: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Contents -Do you think learning new words by heart is difficult? -How can you memorize new words in English? - Introduce new words: There are many good ways to remember new words for a long time. Today we will read a passage about how to memorize new words. First you have to copy some new words. Model and explain these words -Have sts read the passage silently. -Have sts prepare the answers in pairs. -Call some sts to practice asking and answering the questions in front of the class. -Correct the answers. -Answer the questions. -Listen to the teacher’s introduction and copy the words. -Practice reading the words chorally and individually. Teaching aids: T: extra board, pieces of paper Ss: pens, books III. Procedures: 1. Class orders 2. Cheking the previous lesson: _ Tell some subject at school: Math, english 3. Teaching the new lesson Sub-boards, whiteboard markers, pictures, flash card III.
