Lesson 2: SPEAK + LISTEN 
I. Objectives:
	- By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to talk about the changes of life in the country.
- Comparing the life in the country and in the city
- Students will be able to improve speaking and listening comprehension skill
II. Teaching aids: : 
- T: extra board, pictures, flash card, 
- Ss: pens, books, notebooks

- Ask Ss to look at the picture and answer the questions
 - Have Ss write as many adjectives on this topic as they can on the board.
- Check and correct.
-Elicit the way to use the present progresive to talk about changes of the town
-Ask Ss to look at the two pictures and make sentences about the changes of the town 
-Have some Ss give their answers 
-Check and give feedback
-Ask Ss work in pairs to discuss about the changes in their home town
-Have some pairs to give the answer.

 -Ask Ss to listen to the tape and complete the dialogue on page 74.
-Let Ss listen twice and find out the missing words individually.

1. Work with a partner. Look at the two pictures and talk about the changes of the town. The word prompts in the box may help you:

The town is becoming busier.
The houses are getting more nodern.
The present progressive tense. 
S + tobe + becoming/getting+ adj
Usage: Used to describe changes with “get” and “become”: 
3.1.While- spaeking
-The traffic is getting busier.
-The town is becoming more beautiful
-There are more green trees.
-The streets are becoming cleaner/larger/noisier
-There are more tall buildings house.
-Goods are getting more expensive
4.1.Post - speaking 
Work with a partner. Talk about changes in your hometown:
-There are more tall buitdings.
-The streets are becoming larger.
2.2. Pe- listening
- Complete the dialogue use the verbs in the present progressive tense (page 78)
- Review the form of the present Progressive tense.
3.2.While - listening
* Listen: Fill in the missing words:
Lan: Hello!
Aunt Hang: Hello. Is (1) that Lan?
Lan: Yes. Who is (2) this?
Aunt Hang: (3) It’s Aunt Hang. How are you?
Lan: I’m fine. (4) where are you phoning (5) from?
Aunt Hang: Hue. I’m calling to tell you uncle Chi and I’m (6) coming visit you next (7) week.
Lan: Great! Where are you (8) arriving?

In my neighborhood , there is a swimming pool and a beautifull park . On the weekend , I often go swimming with my friends . Early in the morning , I always joy with my sister around the park. But the thing I like best in my neighborhood is the public library near my school. There I not only can study & read books ut also watch video games & learn how to use the computer.
Do you have a library like that in your neighborhood ? Is there any thing interesting in the place where you live ? Write to me .
