2. Presentation: 
 *. Pre – speaking:
 -Paddy field: cánh đồng
-Stack of traw: đống rơm
-Village road: đường làng
-Traffic lights: đèn giao thông
 * While – speaking:
 -Is there the difference between the life in the past and the life in the present?
-Look at the pictures and tell about these differences.
-Write some main differences on the board anh ask sts to copy them.
-Have sts work in pairs.
-Call some pairs to practice telling about the things they used to do last year.
-Do you usually read short stories?
-Which story do you like most?
-Which moral lesson do you get from this story?
“There are a lot of Vietnamese folktales which have precious moral lessons. We are going to listen to one of those stories. Listen to this story and decide which of the sentences is the most suitable moral lessons. Before listening to the story, you have to write some new words”
-Play the cassette three times.
- Look at the pictures and tell about these differences.
- say the difference between the life in the past and the life in the present
- Ss work in pairs
- Some pairs practicing in font of class

- People used to live in small houses. Now they live in big houses, buildings
- People used to walk. Now they can go by car or motorbikes.
- There wasn’t electricity in the home. There is electricity everywhere now.
-People used to work hard all the time. Now they have time for entertainment.
-Children used to stay at home. Now they go to school.
-Children used to play traditional games. Now they can play computer games.
2. Tell about the things you used to do last year.
- Last year I used to go to school late.
-Last year I didn’t use to do my homework before I went to school.

- T asks Ss to remind of the different charateristics between life in the past and now and the uses of the verb “used to”

- Prepare “ Read” for the next period.

By the end of the lesson sts will be able to know about a folktale and learn a moral lesson from it.
- Focus on reading writing skills. 
II. Teaching aids: Posters, whiteboard markers.
III . Procedures: 
1. Class orders 
2. Cheking the previous lesson: 
-Ask some questions to focus on the lesson:
+ Do you like folktales?
+Can you tell me the name of some stories that you remember?
+What are those stories usually about?

Do you know why tigers have black stripes?
-Which story tells you about that?

2. Now imagine you are the man. Use the words to write the story. Start like this:
 One day I was in the field and my buffalo was grazing nearby, a tiger came. It asked why the strong buffalo was my servant and I was its master. I told the tiger that I had something called wisdom. The tiger wanted to see it, but I told it I left my wisdom at home. Then I tied the tiger to a tree with a rope because I didn’t want it to eat my buffalo. I went to get some straw and I burned the tiger. The tiger escaped, but today it still has black stripes from the burns.
