T asks Ss to look at the picture on page 38 and write the name of things that do not belong to the past
Work in groups
T presents new words to Ss by different ways

.Translating into Vietnamese

Ss repeat and say the meaning

T checks the new words from the game
T presents the model sentence to Ss
Ss listen carefully and notice the grammar point
Ss read the statements and predict they are true or false

Ss listen to the tape, the dialogue between grandma and Nga (page 38) once/twice

Practice the dialogue in pairs(closed pairs and open pairs)
After practicing the dialogue, Ss work inpairs , asking and answering the questions part 2

Recall the conversation between Nga and her grandma
Teacher asks Ss some questions and present the grammar 
Teacher asks Ss to use USED TO to make question and answer( Remember in the dialogue)
Let Ss write structures

Students work in pairs
Get students to work in open pairs then closed pairs
Compare 2 pictures( on page 40 part 1) using “used to” to talk about the actions in the past
Elicit some ideas so that students can talk about them
Tell their partner about the things they usea to do last year
Students complete the sentences. Use the prepositions of time (page 44)
Have Ss do exercise. Looking at 4 pictures on page 45, using “ Used to” to complete the dialogue between Nga and Hoa

One day , as I was in the field and my buffalo was grazing nearby , a tiger came . It asked why the strong buffalo was my servant and why I was its master . I told the tiger that I had something called wisdom . The tiger wanted to see it , but I told it I left the wisdom at home . Then I tied the tiger to a tree with a rope because I didn’t want it to eat my buffalo . I went to get some straw that I said was my wisdom and I burned the tiger . The tiger escaped , but today it still has black stripes from the burns
