Objectives: 
By the end of the lesson the Ss will be able to talk about activities using the Past progressive tense and Present progressive tenses with "always".

Listen to the song and answer: What tense is used in the song? 
2. Presentation: (35’)
Task 1:
The present progressive tense with “always”: 
Have Ss look at the picture and answer the question:
What is Nam doing ?Then introduce the structure.
Nam/watch TV.
Teacher gives his mother’s complaint: “You are always watching TV”
Nam is always watching TV
From: subject+ am/ is /are+ always+ V-ing
 Uses:
-Always can be used with the present progressive to describe continually-repeated actions. 
- to express a complaint
Practice:
Have Ss do exercise 3/120. Look at the pictures. Write the sentences. Say what the people are always doing.

Task 3:The past progressive tense : 
Ex: Nam was watching TV at 8 o’clock last night 
Form:
	Subject+ was /were + V-ing
 Uses:
-To indicate an action that was in progress at a point of time in the past. 
- An action was taking place in the past when another action took place.
When + short action (Past Simple) 
While + long action (Past Continuous) 
Ex:Hoa was having dinner when the phone rang.
While Hoa was having dinner , the phone rang.
Two actions occurring at the same time in the past.
Ex:Hoa was having dinner while Nga was writing a letter. 
Task 4 -Have Ss do exercise 1/119. Look at the pictures. Say: What each person was doing at 8 o’clock last night.

 Bao / read a comic
 Nga / write a letter
 Na / walk with her dog
 Lan / talk to her grandma
