Ss: Take notes. III. While-listening (15 ‘) *Task 1: Listen the weather report and choose True or False. Correct the wrong words. 1. The low temperature will be 20°C in Sydney. 2. It will be rainy and wet in Tokyo. 3. London is going to have a humid and cold day. 4.The low temperature will be - 5°C in Bangkok. 5.In New York, it’s a windy and cloudy day. 6. The high temperature will be 20°C in Paris. Answer keys: 1- T 2- F → It will be dry and windy in Tokyo. 3- T 4- F → The low temperature will be 240C in Bangkok. 5- T 6- F → The high temperature will be 160C in Paris. *Task 2: Listen the weather report. Then fill in the blanks in the table with the information you hear. Ss: - Copy down. - Listen, choose and correct. T: Plays the tape twice and asks Ss to listen to the tape again and check their answer. Ss: - Listen again and check. - Give the feedbacks and answers. T: -Gets feedbacks from Ss. -Shows the Ss’ choice on the board. -Plays the tape again to check Ss’ answers. - Gives the answer keys and asks SS to take notes in their notebooks Ss: take notes and correct. Ss: work in pairs to make a short dialogue about the weather and the temperature. T: - Gives suggestions of making the weather reports and provides necessary information to Ss. - Guides and asks Ss to make the simple weather report. Ss:- Look at the map, use suggestions and make the reports. T: - Asks some Ss to go to the board, point to the map and present their reports. - Makes an example. Ss: - Go to the board and give the presentations in individual for weather reports in front of class. T: - Gets the feedbacks from Ss, corrects and encourages them. V. Homework (5’) - Learn the vocabulary by heart. - Write a short weather report (60- 80 words) about some cities in Vietnam. - Prepare for lesson Read (page 116- 118 in Text book). T: - Summarizes the main points and gives homework. - Asks Ss to learn the vocabulary, do homework and prepare for the next lesson. Ss: Take note and write down the homework in notebooks.
