Teacher prepares 10 cards with numbers (from 1 to 10) on one side and adjectives with their opposites on the board
Stick 10 cards on the board so Ss can only see the number
Divide class into 2 teams and ask them to choose 2 numbers, turn the cards over if they match eg: cheap – expensive that team gets 1 mark
T presents new words.
Ss repeat and say meaning.
T sets the scene: “The residents and store owners on Tran Phu street are going to hold a meeting to discuss the effects of the new mall”
