-Guides sts to play a small game “ Pelmanism”
Sticks the poster about infinittve on the board and asks sts to change them into past Tense

-Revises the past simple tense and wish sentences.
*Past simple tense : S + V2/ V-ed + O
 ( was /were)
 Ex : She went shopping yesterday
“ Wish” Sentence : Present unreal wish 
 S+ wish ( that ) S + were / V2 ( V-ed) 
-Asks sts to look at the dialogue on page 11 between 2 students talking about things Ba did last week. Now you read the table and make similar dialogues about Nga’s, Lan’s , Nam’s and Hoa’s weekend
Dialogue
A : what did Ba do on the weekend?
B : He went to see a movie called “ Ghosts and Monsters”
A: when did he see it?
B: He saw it on Saturday afternoon at two o’clock
 Have sts work in pairs to say the dialogues ( Nga , Lan, Nam, Hoa)
2. Sets the scence” Lan and her friends are holding a farewell party for Maryam. Write the things they did for the party. Use the pictures and words in the box to help you”
 -Asks some questions 
+ what did she / he do ?
1/ she made a cake
2/ He hung the colorful lamps
3/she bought flowers
4/He painted a picture of Ha Noi
5/ She went shopping
-Asks sts to work with a partner. Write wish 
you want to make in these situations
-Calls some pairs to present in front of class
