1. Warm up: Chatting
- Do you have any penpals?
Where does she/he live?
- Has she/he ever visited your city?
- What activities would you do during the visit?
2. Presentation
* Pre teach vocab:

3. Practice:
* Open prediction
- Introduce the situation of the text ( a friend of Lan, Maryam visits Lan). Can you guess where she went and what she did during her stay?

- Ask Ss to listen while reading the text and check their predictions and add some more information
- ASk Ss to work in pairs to choose the correct option to complete the sentences on page 7
