Period 04 Week 02 Date : August 24th THEME 1 : PERSONAL INFORMATION Topic : Friends & Penpal UNIT 1: A VISIT FROM A PENPAL LISTEN I. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to develope listening skills.Then choose the right pictures. II. V . procedures Stages /time Teacher’s activities Sts’activities Warm up :5’ Pre-listening:10’ While-listening:20’ Post-listening:8’ Homework :2’ -Guides sts to play a small game “ KIM’S GAME” -Divides the class into two groups .then asks them to look at the pictures for 2 second -Puts the piture away and calls sts to write things that they have just seen in the picture -Comments the group which has more right words is winner UNIT 1: A VISIT FROM A PENPAL * LISTEN -Asks sts to look at the pictures and asks some questions + what is difference between picture 1 and 2 in a,b,c ? in the picture 1 .a/ don’t walk on the grass b/ don’t pick the flowers *in the picture 2 .a/ the bus is red and its number is 103 b/ the bus is blue and its number is 130 in the picture3 : a/ It is the Mexican restaurant b/ It ia the American one( Hamburgers) -sets the scence “Tim Jone’s Mexican penpal, Carlo, is visitting the USA. Listen the conversation and check(v) the number of the correct pictures *key: a/ 1 b/ 2 c/ 2 -plays the tape twice -calls some students to read aloud tape trascript: (teacher’s book) Tim: Carlo: -Asks sts to listen again and write three sentences about Tim & Carlo suggested : 1/ let’s go to the restaurant 2/ they go through the park 3/ they can catch a bus -Gives assignments and comment + Learn by heart the strutures + Do the exercise 1,6 in the workbook + prepare the part “ Read” on the page 9-10 -listen -join in the game ( groupworks) the girls are group A the boy are group B -look at the pictures and find the differences ( saying) -Listen the scence -Guess the picture -Listen carefully -Corrcet the prediction ( say& write) -listen -say I -Take note
