-Call Ss to read the letter they have finished at home
- Check and remark
-Ask sts to remind the use of adverbs of manner.
-Ask sts to complete the dialogues by filling the adverbs of manner in the spaces.
-Call some pairs to practice.
-Ask sts to look at the picture of Mr. Hao’s house.
+ What do you think about Mr. Hao’s house? Is it old or new?
+Now you work in pairs, discuss what Mr. Hao should do for his house by using the verbs given.
-Give the correct answers.
-Present the way to change direct sentences to indirect.
-Explain the example.
-Ask sts to do the exercise.
-Guide sts to do the exercise.
-Ask sts to write the reported sentences on the board.
-Correct them.
Ask Ss to remember the given forms to do the excercises.

Work with a partner. Suppose you are Tim’s mother. Report Miss Jackson’s commands and requests in her conversation with Tim’s mother.
* Formation: 
S + asked + O + to-infinitive.

Thay đổi đại từ nhân xưng, đại từ sở hữu:
Ngôi1 => ngôi 3
Ngôi 2=> cùng ngôi với O của mệnh đề chính.
Ngôi 3 => giữ nguyên không đổi.
Đổi thì của động từ:
simple present => simple past
present progressive=> past progressive
future => future in the past.
* Answer key:
a). Miss Jackson asked me to wait outside her office.
b). Miss Jackson told me to give you your report card for this semester.
c). Miss Jackson told me to help you with your Spanish pronunciation.
d). Miss Jackson asked me to meet her the following week.
* Activity 3: Work with a partner. Report Miss Jackson’s advice...
Miss Jackson said you should spend more time on Spanish pronunciation.
Miss Jackson said you should practice speaking Spanish every day.
Miss Jackson said you should listen to Spanish conversation on TV.
Miss Jackson said you should practice reading aloud passages in Spanish.
Miss Jackson said you should use this dictionary to find out how to pronounce Spanish words.

Lesson 1: Getting started, Listen and read
I. Objectives:
 - By the end of the lesson students will be able to fill out an application form. Talking about the activities of Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer and Youth Organization
- Focus on listeng, speaking reading and writing skills. 
II. Teaching aids: 
 T: Cassette player, tape , extra board, Posters and pictures
Ss: pen book
III. Procedures: 
1. Class orders 
2. Cheking the previous lesson: 
 Tell Ss to change reported speech
a, Hoa said: “ I am a students”
- Hoa said she was a student
b. Hung asked “ I give him a book”

- In our today’s lesson, we will listen to an English song. Read the words of the song and tell me what the song is about.
-Now you work in pairs, read the words again and have a guess of the words in the blanks.
Now you listen to the tape and complete the song by filling the words you hear in the blanks.

-Play the cassette again, pause at the end of each sentence and write the missing words on the board.
 -Play the cassette again and ask sts to listen to the song and practice singing it.
