* After this lesson, students will be able to ask and answer about distances from place to other place in VN

* Practice speaking skill

* Sts should know distances of some places in VN

II. PREPARATION

- Teacher : plan , pictures , book , card , stereo

- Student : book , notebook , pen , ruler , prepare new lesson .

- Techniques : Communicative approach , wok in pair / group

III. PROCEDURES:

1.Greeting and checking attendance

2. The previous lesson:

* write some words : bank ,shoe store , hotel , next to ,behind

* Read A3

* look at the map , make the directions

 Go styraight ahead , take the second street ,then turn right , .the bank is oppsite the hospital

- Ask Ss to look at the dialogue and listen to the tape 
- Ask Ss some questions about distance using : How far is it from.to?
- Ask Ss to listen to the tape again and repeat after the tape 
- Have Ss work in pairs reading the dialogue 
- Call on some pairs to practice in front of the class 
* Task 2 
- Ask Ss to look at the map and the table carefully
- Make example 
- Have Ss work in pairs asking and answerring about the distances 
- Call on some pairs to practice in front of the class 
- Correct the mistake if necessary . 
- Ask Ss to write down in the notebooks

- Ask Ss to practice in pairs to make a conversation about giving direction

S2 : About 500 meters .

5 Homework:
- Learn “vocab” by heart.
- Write the answers in their notebooks.
